Big launch for the iPhone 8 and 10

Apple launched two new iPhones on September 12th. The iPhone 8 has great new features such as a 4.7 inch screen. Additional features include a glass and aluminum back, 64GB or 256GB, and a dual 12 megapixel camera with two new sensors and stabilizers. Some old features that continued from the iPhone 7 include water resistance and the force press home button. The phone goes for $699.

Something even greater than the 8 is the iPhone X (10). This phone has a 5.8 screen that is bigger than any other generation. The home button was fully removed and replaced with an all-touch screen.

One of the most exciting features is the face identification. This feature replaces the touch ID and uses several light projectors and sensors that take many different facial expressions. It is a “true depth camera system” that gets a detailed depth of one’s face in order to recognize the iPhone user.

In order to set up face identification, the user follows the on-screen instructions such as moving his or her head in a circle so the iPhone catches different angles of the person’s face. It uses infrared light to illuminate the face. This will allow the user to activate the phone outside, indoors, day, or night.

The iPhone X is available for pre-order on October 27th and will be released on November 3rd for $999.
