From the start of the season, the girls varsity tennis team has been leaving their hearts out on the court. With the state tournament date closing in, the team will need to be on top of their game.

Warming up before a game is essential for a player to be successful. Tennis players usually make a plan before the game, and if playing doubles, they communicate with their teammate. They  understand the strengths and weaknesses of their partner.

Players have been practicing correct techniques and strategies. The team practices almost every single day. If and when they do not, Coach Champlin is there to direct them in the right direction. He says, “I try to communicate in a way that will be most beneficial to the player.  I try to communicate to my players like I would want my own children to be coached.”

The girls tennis team will be competing in the state tournament on October 19.
