This self titled CD by the post harcore band, We Came As Romans has soared up the rock charts. It currently sits #2 only behind the long awaited release of the new Disturbed album, Immortalized. We Came as Romans a normally screamo based band, led by Dave Stephens and Kyle Pavone of Detroit, Michigan, settle it down in their new release. The album features instant hits such as Regenerate and The World I Used to Know. Although the album does have its slow parts, it’s still rocking with the Metallica inspired song 12:30.

Some of the songs do create a sense of head banging vocals such as those in Tear It Down. The two singers do tend to have conflicting voices and definitely let many listeners down on the clean vocals, but all in all the album does a solid job sticking to their roots. If you enjoy this new album make sure to check them out on their new tour with All That Remains.

The album is not entirely great though. The song Defiance has plain lyrics and tends to be too repetitive. This is one of the main problems of this band. They have great sing alongs and great breakdowns, but the same 5 lines are said over and over. Although this continues to be an annoying factor, the band stills rocks out to another one of their smoothly finished studio albums.
