Kendrick Lamar brings his roots into his rap as influence for this latest piece of rapping brilliance. Hit songs like I and King Kunta talk about his roots in Compton, California and puts the stories to a catchy beat. Although it currently sits at #5 on the rap charts it has been there for several weeks, not decreasing in value. Although he did appear in a song with Taylor Swift this year, he has stuck to his bad boy self, and continues to strive for the top of the rap charts.
