Snapchat’s new feature causes privacy concerns for users

In late June, the popular social media app Snapchat added a brand new feature to its list: Snap Map.

Snap Map is a digital map that allows users to see the exact location of some of their friends at any given moment in time. This obviously concerned some children and parents alike because this does open a window for predators; however, there is an added feature called “Ghost Mode” in which users can keep his or her location private.

Although Snapchat has reassured its users that they would never do anything to put them in harm’s way, users should take caution before posting their snaps, and think about who may be watching.
