Halloween is right around the corner, and I don’t know about you, but this year I’m ditching the boring onesie and overdone classics to opt for something more…unique. So, come along, let’s explore the exciting new costumes ideas for this spooky season.
One-person costumes:
Barbieheimer
– There are many ways to do this one, get creative. However, you must have parts from both movies and color schemes
– You could wear all pink with black/war accessories or vice versa, you could wear a pink shirt with contrasting pants, or my personal favorite, a pink outfit with black lace overgarments.
What you will need:
- Pink and black clothes
Gerry Turner
– Bachelors going back, literally. With the newest season of a classic TV show featuring old-er stars, grab your favorite gray wig and boogie it out.
What you will need:
- A gray wig
- SFX makeup (this is up to you but would really pull the costume together)
- A rose
- An absolutely snazzy gray suit
*Careful not to look like Hugh Hefner.
Wednesday Addams
– Do you only enjoy wearing black? Perfect.
What you will need:
- Black wig
- Dark eye makeup
- Full black outfit
Couples or Pairs costumes:
Barbie and Ken
– A classic combo, perfect for couples or friends.
What you will need:

- The accent of a brit
- A long, dark brown wig any style
- The illusion of height (if not naturally given)
Group costumes:
Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner, and their Divorce Lawyer
– Yep, they are filing for divorce, so get your two favorite friends together
What you will need:
- Black short-cut wig with matching eyebrows
- Blonde or ginger wig (your choice)
- A lawyer costume or swap the typical for a costume that is shaped like divorce papers
