On Saturday, February 24, 2024 the Lockport boys swim and dive team participated for individual and team titles at IHSA state finals in Westmont. An LTHS sophomore, Andrew Giorgetti, who goes by Andy, successfully placed 12th in his individual dive final, making him the first Sophomore at LTHS to place in diving. Additionally, he is the only LTHS swimmer or diver to place in 5 years! This made him the only competitor from LTHS to gain points for his team at state. Andy hopes to next year place 7th or higher for his individual dive final along with helping gain his team points. LTHS Athletics has successfully been placing high this year in many state finals making our school an athletic powerhouse!
