Michael Reaney, Staff Writer
Michael Reaney is a film critic and aspiring director. He generally sees one film a week at the theatre, and his grading system for films operates on a ten point scale.
- 1-5: Poor, god awful, entirely forgettable (think this year’s Fantastic Four)
- 6: Average (not bad, but nothing too memorable)
- 7: Good (decent; anything this grade or higher and I usually buy it on DVD)
- 8: Great (very good, although weighed down by a few small but noticeable flaws)
- 9: Amazing (Almost perfect, only a few minor flaws)
- 10: Masterpiece (I have seen maybe three films in my entire life that fall into this category. If a film is rated a 10, it means I literally have no problems with it. To me, it is perfect)
