Three freshmen from the UCLA basketball team, LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley, and Jalen Hall, have been suspended from playing as a result of shoplifting in China. It has not been fully revealed as to what was stolen, but one of the items was reportedly a pair of sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store.

All three players have apologized for their actions in China. On November 14th, the players were released from Shanghai, China, to go back to the United States on a bail of $2,200. UCLA was able to put them on a plane and bring them back home with President Xi Jinping’s permission.

Now that the basketball players are back in the United States, Coach Alford stated that they will no longer be able to participate in practices and workouts. The players are also not allowed to travel with the team nor will they be able to dress for the home games.

Coach Alford and Guerrero have not expelled the three basketball players from the team; therefore, the three players may resume playing after their suspension.
