2025 has flown by and it is already time for people to think about what they are going to be for Halloween.  This time of year can be challenging as people need to not only consider a costume, but who they want to dress up with! Maybe a bestie or boyfriend, or even a stiuationship.  Here are the top 2025 Halloween costumes for couples, duos, kids, and family this season.

Couples-

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce: The most predictable costume for couples this year may be  controversial, but since Swift’s record-breaking post on Instagram announcing her engagement, she and her now fiance, Travis Kelce, have taken their relationship to a new level.  This would be a timeless costume for couples as they never go out of style.

Lilo and Stitch: The remake of Lilo and Stitch received a lot of love this year from fans that have loved this duo since 2002 and gained new fans!  The rework of the iconic movie was released in late May, breaking a record by becoming the first Motion Picture Association(MPA) film of 2025 to reach $1 million globally.  The popularity stems from Stitch being such a loveable and silly creature with Lilo there to keep him out of trouble making them a dynamic duo.  This couple’s costume represents fun and loyalty, which is perfect for couples that display those traits.

Deer and Hunter: The deer and hunter duo has been on the back burner of couples costumes for a while, but has been gaining popularity from couples this year.  This cute yet ironic costume pairing has been gaining traction on TikTok, the platform everyone is flocking to for hair, nail, shoe and now, halloween costume inspiration.  

Friend Duos- 

Elphaba and Glinda– The popular Broadway show  “Wicked” was made into a movie and released November of 2024, but the sequel “Wicked: For Good” is coming out November 21, 2025 and fans have been raving about the trailer.  This makes it perfect for friends who have complete opposite qualities.

Velma and Daphne– This costume is perfect for a “red head and brunette” duo.  Velma is quiet and shy, but Daphne is fiery. Velma is there to put work in, Daphne focuses on her appearance to impress Fred.  They are a funny duo, but they can get the job done.  

Men in Black–  “Men in Black” is an easy last minute costume for men and women.  In the movie, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones wear suits, but most people just wear all black and wear sunglasses. This costume is for the friends who plan days before and still pull it off.

Addams Family– “The Addams Family” was first released in 1964 and has been worn by millions of families over and over each year.  The lovely couple, Gomez and Morticia, make a power couple with their troublemaking children.  Wednesday and Pugsley act exactly how siblings should act, which makes this an easy costume for families or friends who feel like family to choose.

Mystery Inc. / The Scooby Gang–  Scooby Doo and his friends are the perfect dream team, and push through hard things together, just like family.  This team is known for their mystery solving and crime fighting abilities that always save the day.  Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred are always willing to be there for one another which makes a perfect costume for friends who do the same.   

Toy Story–  Toy Story is an iconic Pixar movie that was released in 1995, and is a movie every kid loves.  The lovable characters, and heartwarming story, is very meaningful to many people/families, and dressing up as your favorite character can be one way you can bring them to life- just like the movie.
