Benson Boone, a 21 year-old rising star who became famous through his debut on American Idol, has released a new single that is crushing the global charts. “Beautiful Things,” his new song released on January 18th, exploded on Instagram, Tiktok and X. This could be due to his heavy promotion on these social media platforms, but many of his song followers and fans used the sound clip on reels and stories. Benson Boone competed on American Idol during Season 19 where Katy Perry told Benson that he could win American Idol if he wanted to, but Benson decided to drop out and chase his dreams which ultimately might have been the best decision. Benson Boone’s first big breakthrough was his song “Ghost Town” in 2021. ‘‘Beautiful Things’’, his new single, has landed a number one spot on the “Billboard Global 200” Chart including over 100 million streams on Spotify. “Beautiful Things” is an upbeat soul quenching anthem about how terrifying it is to enter a new relationship when you’re terrified to lose them. The song starts slow and melancholy and then builds to a thunderous chorus screaming out the fear and turmoil Benson Boone wanted to get across. This song pierces your heart and makes you feel every emotion poured into this song. It is no surprise why this song is gaining momentum. Boone’s ability to create lyrics that every listener can relate to is one of the reasons teens are listening to his music on repeat. Boone has also announced a world tour that is to kick off on April 3rd in Chicago, IL. “Beautiful Things” definitely deserves a listen!
