AT&T’s network outage is spread across all of America, leaving many individuals suffering. On Thursday morning, at approximately 4 a.m., over 32,000 AT&T outages were reported by customers. Around 7 a.m., even more reports came in, 50,000 to be exact, stating they cannot access the internet. The current amount of reports was up to 71,000 just before 8 a.m.
Some Verizon and T-Mobile customers even reported that they had outages as well. Yet, both companies specified that their customers had trouble when trying to contact AT&T users. A little over 1,100 T-Mobile users and about 3,000 Verizon outages have been reported so far.
AT&T so far has acknowledged the issue, “Our network teams took immediate action and so far three-quarters of our network has been restored. We are working as quickly as possible to restore service to remaining customers.” The company is still unsure of what caused the outage, but is working incredibly hard to find a solution.
Mainly, AT&T has been trying to find a way for individuals’ to reach 911. So far calls have not been going through, but the company was able to get text to work. This means if someone has an emergency, be sure to text 911 inorder to have contact with an operator.
As of 12:30 p.m., almost 75% of AT&T’s network has been restored. The network is expecting more to be restored possibly late tonight or early tomorrow morning.
