On Saturday, February 24, the Lockport Girls Wrestling team made history at the IHSA state finals in Bloomington, Illinois. Two LTHS sophomores, Claudia Heeney and Morgan Turner won individual state championships, the first Lockport students to become state champions since the beginning of the Girls Wrestling program! Furthermore, team awards were given for the first time, and the LTHS team won second place in state. If you see any members of the Girls Wrestling team or their coaches, especially the state champions, Lockport is especially proud of its members of the Girls Wrestling team and their coaches, especially our state champions of 2024!
