This may come as a shock to you but Lockport does have a figure skating team. During the winter, a lot of us love to have our shot at taking a spin on the ice. Tumbles and hard falls typically follow this decision, but not for these graceful ladies. Those early hours of the morning that we spend sleeping, and spend hours after school practicing. Hard. Our figure skaters have spent over ten years perfecting their craft!

People from all different backgrounds are welcome to join the team which allows for a wide range of skills. But the varsity members are also coaches, and amazing ones at that. We learned first hand how awesome they are! Before they stepped on that ice, Ava could barely stand by herself. By the end of our mini session with the team, she could do a mini jump! The team is going to state on March 10th and have a great shot at winning. We can’t wait to celebrate our beautiful skaters!
